2010, Ink
So, since my last post on this blog I have transitioned from college to real world, and from 23 years old to 24. But, there has been no milestone more valuable than Alicia's printer/scanner being set up in my room today (Thank you Alicia!). Hopefully this means there will be no other 2 month gaps between my art postings.
It's official.

Study of a cute little titmouse.
This piece will be featured in an upcoming illustration bird show at the Gallery Della-Piana in Wenham,MA (152R Main St)between May 20th and July 24th. Go see this show! Lots of great artists so I'm sure there will be lots of great work.
Boredom ensues.

2010, Ink, Digital
Kind of randomly decided to color this one tonight. It's all about that yellow scarf. I decided on green for the dress to hint at her Brazilian roots). I've recently drawn a little Shaolin boy in the same kind of style. I will try to post that up here next week as well as some bird drawings I've done.
Also, I might throw some face paint on her, after I look more carefully at Yanomami design and symbolism.

Pomona Preview
This is a bad scan of some details of the pencil of Pomona. (Sorry for all of the "ofs".) Pomona is the Roman Goddess of fruits and gardens. This is also on a 40in by 32in sheet of paper, like the Castor and Pollux piece, and is soon to be inked. The scan at Kinko's really bleached out all of the delicate lighter lines in both pieces, which led me to begin inking them before attempting color. Well, it's not much, but enjoy.
